SLMMS Alliance Honors George Hruza, MD
The Medical Society Alliance honored George Hruza, MD, as its 2016 Doctor of the Year. The award recognizes one SLMMS physician each year for advocacy for the medical profession, for being a role model for future physicians, and for support of the Alliance. The award was presented at the Alliance’s annual Valentine’s Dinner on Feb. 19.
Dr. Hruza director of the Laser & Dermatologic Surgery Center in Chesterfield. He also is a clinical professor of dermatology at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. He earned his medical degree from New York University, graduating at the top of his class. He completed his dermatology residency at New York University Medical Center in 1986, followed by a laser surgery fellowship at Harvard Medical School’s Wellman Laboratory for Photomedicine and a Mohs and dermatologic surgery fellowship at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dr. Hruza is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, the American Board of Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology and the American Board of Laser Surgery.
