White Coat Rally Day is Wednesday, March 5 at the Missouri Capitol in Jefferson City
Now more than ever your support of organized medicine in Missouri is paramount. The St. Louis Metropolitan Medical Society is asking all doctors (members and non-members) to clear your schedule for Wednesday, March 5, 2014 to join fellow physicians and the Missouri State Medical Association to lobby legislators in Jefferson City to support Tort Reform bills HB 1173 and SB 589. The annual White Coat Rally Day will take place that day from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Missouri Capitol.
Visit ShowMeTortReform.com to register for the event and to view the day’s schedule, review talking points or to connect with your legislator. Your registration is your reservation for lunch in the Capitol. Don’t forget to wear your white coat.
SLMMS will again coordinate free bus transportation to and from Jefferson City on rally day for all physicians. All physicians are welcome, but you must reserve your seat on the bus before Friday, February 28. RSVP to Liz Webb at the SLMMS office at 314-989-1014 ext. 108 or lizw@slmms.org
To ride the SLMMS bus, make your reservation by providing your cell phone number, email address and pick-up location. The SLMMS bus will pick up physicians at two different locations: (1) the roof level of Muckerman garage at Mercy Hospital-St. Louis (615. S. New Ballas Road) at 5:45 a.m. OR (2) Koenig Medical Building (100 Medical Place, Lake St. Louis) at St. Joseph Hospital West in Lake St. Louis at 6:45 a.m.
The rally concludes at 3:00 p.m. and the bus will return to Lake St. Louis at approximately 4:30 p.m. and St. Louis at approximately 5:15 p.m. Contact the SLMMS office if you have questions.
