Free to Care Report Outlines Physician-Led Roadmap to Patient-Centered Care

In the August-September issue of St. Louis Metropolitan Medicine, Scott Hardeman, MD, describes the national grassroots campaign to reclaim health care for patients and physicians, Free to Care.

The five tenets of the campaign are:
1. Drive down drug prices and increase supply.
2. Strengthen the safety net for the vulnerable.
3. Foster fresh models to pay for medical care.
4. Reverse the impending physician shortage.
5. Make health care prices transparent.
