Jennifer Page, MD, a physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist, and medical director of acute rehabilitation at Mercy Hospital South, was installed as the 2021 president of the St. Louis Metropolitan Medical Society at the Council’s monthly meeting on January 12, 2021. A member of the SLMMS Council since 2016, she was previously vice president in 2019, and president-elect in 2020.
Following the Society’s annual election held last November, the following physicians were installed as officers to serve with Dr. Page in 2021; Erin Gardner, MD, president-elect; Mark Gunby, DO, vice president; Robert A. Brennan, Jr., MD, secretary-treasurer; and Jason K. Skyles, MD, immediate past president.
Four physicians were installed as Councilors serving three year terms from 2021 through 2023: Sara Hawatmeh, MD; Otha Myles, MD; David Niebruegge, MD; and Farheen Raja, MD.
Special thanks to George Hruza, MD, current 2020-2021 president of the Missouri State Medical Association and a past president of SLMMS, for presiding over the virtual installation.
The officers and councilors will serve concurrently as officers and trustees of the St. Louis Society for Medical and Scientific Education (SLSMSE), the medical society’s charitable foundation.
