Health&Care Journal Offer for SLMMS Members

HEALTH&CARE® Journal is an exciting new addition to the St. Louis publication landscape. The semi-annual publication is now offering SLMMS members the opportunity to provide branded copies to their patients.

The goal of HEALTH&CARE® Journal/St. Louis Metro edition, is to provide credible, health-enhancing and potentially life-saving information about serious chronic diseases in an attractive, user-friendly and understandable consumer publication, according to Todd Abrams, publisher. Since its debut last fall, the magazine has grown in subscribers and popularity, and its content has been endorsed by many medical professionals. Society members will be on the mailing list for HEALTH&CARE® Journal, beginning with the Fall/Winter issue.

As an additional benefit to SLMMS members, Abrams is offering Medical Society physicians the opportunity to provide their patients with two issues published each year, with branding for the physician practice included on the magazine cover.

The benefits to the medical practice are many, explained Abrams, including

– Improving health literacy of patients, encouraging them to seek and comply with care, potentially enhancing practice revenue

– Providing patients with knowledge to help practices serve them more efficiently

– Helping keep patients and their families healthier.

Providing the branded issue also helps make a very positive statement about the practice’s concern for their patients’ health, as well as the health of the broader community.

Copies can be obtained for all patients, or just a specific segment, such as patients 45 years or age and older. The cost is to participate is $3.50 per patient family per issue ($7.00 per year) for 500+ copies. For fewer than 500 copies, is cost is $4.00 per issue per family ($8.00 per year).
